AquaPaddle
AquaPaddle is the name of the free-timed 5km social paddle run by volunteers. It’s all paddling abilities on different craft and waterways across the country. The timed social paddle provides an opportunity for those who want to improve their fitness and wellbeing, meet other like-minded paddlers and have fun!
Note that AquaPaddle is not organised by Hampton Canoe Club, and is an independent event. If you join an AquaPaddle event, you do so under their rules and risk assessment.

It starts at the club, but you must sign in on the Molesey side of the river, so park at the club, and then you can paddle across for a friendly but important briefing. Or if you have your own boat, head straight there for about 9:30, where there is plenty of parking.
This is a short paddle of 3 miles, which is a friendly race, but believe me, you are not likely to be last as most people are on paddle boards. Having said that, a few paddle boarders are motoring along at 6mph!
Suggested arrival time to club 9 – 9:10 am

Upcoming events
These events run every other Sunday, but it is weather and flow-dependent.
Refer to the AquaPaddles site to view upcoming paddles.
Registration
You must sign up online prior to attending an event.
This takes minutes, but make sure you sign in as using a K1 (if you are using one); otherwise, it automatically signs you in as a SUP user.
On the day
Then, print your number to stick on the front of your buoyancy aid.
You’ll also need a high visibility bib (one spare in the club drawer). You can order an AquaPaddle event bib with your personalised number from their online shop.
