This free and fun event runs alternate Sundays that weather permits and is hosted by an outside organisation. Register with AquaPaddle to participate: https://www.aquapaddle.org It's been likened to the water version of the Park Run. Although its a paddle challenge you are there to improve your own time and its serious or lighthearted as you choose to make it.Meet at the club soon after 9 to be the other side of the river* around 9:30amYou can use any craft that you are competent paddling in: kayak, paddle-board or canoe. The timed 5km launches at 10am from outside the club BUT the safety briefing occurs on the grass opposite side of the river behind Garricks Temple from 9:30. NOTE: f the river is on yellow boards this event will move to New Haw - check their website. * what3words address to help you find this specific location.
