We are a recreational canoe club run for and by our members on a voluntary basis.

How is our website hosted?
The infrastructure that our website is hosted on is run and managed for us by Kualo. You can find out more about them here and check out their privacy policy. All data sored on the website is accessible to Us and to our agents at Kualo.
Comments and feedback
When visitors leave comments or feedback on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
Mailing lists
You may choose to leave personally identifiable data on a mailing list so that we may contact you in the future. Data is stored on our website database and is retained until no longer necessary.
Media
Hampton Canoe Club assume that you grant permission to use photos & videos you have shared with members. And those that you and your guest may appear in whilst participating in events and any club activities; unless you have expressly said otherwise. Ideally in writing to:

Location data is often embedded in photos unless you or person taking the photo has chosen to remove it.
The club has a Facebook Group, “Hampton Canoe Club”. Membership of this group is by application and is not limited to club members and joining or using this group is not compulsory. Posts to the group are not moderated prior to their appearing on the group pages, and it must be recognised that anything posted to the group will immediately be in the public domain. If you are not happy for images you appear in to be published in the manner detailed above, please advise the club secretary: hamptoncanoe@gmail.com

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
